A very creative and fun way to have your milk and cookies fix! It will impress the crowds at parties and gatherings, and is absolutely delicious.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

  • 1/3 cup white granulated sugar

  • 3/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 150g butter, melted

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • 2/3 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 1 cup of Nutella (or any other kind of chocolate)

PREPARATION

1. Preheat oven to 175C, and generously grease the molds of a popover pan, muffin tins, or a specialized cookie shot mold.

2. In a large bowl, combine flour, both sugars, baking powder and salt, mixing well to make sure ingredients are well incorporated.

3. In another medium bowl, add melted butter, eggs and vanilla and whisk well to combine.

4. Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well to form a dough. Then fold in chocolate chips.

5. Portion the cookie dough evenly, placing a rolled ball in each cavity. If using the cookie shot mold, it will come with an insert that you use to firmly press dough into the cavity and up the sides, pressing straight down and all the way to the bottom, leaving it in there during the baking process.

6. If using a popover pan, or muffin tins, you will have to form the cookie shots by shaping the dough into the cavity, and chilling it for 30 minutes, so it holds its shape.

7. Bake cookies for 18-20 minutes until the cookies start to brown.

8. If using the cookie shot mold, trim the top edges of the cookie shots while they are still hot and soft. Then allow to cool completely.

9. Once cooled, microwave the Nutella (or any chocolate) and using a brush, coat the insides of the cookie shots with chocolate to seal any holes or cracks. Chill or set aside until the chocolate is set and dry.

10. Now you can fill your cookie shots with anything you desire. Milk, chocolate milk, or even ice cream!
