TURKEY AND CHEESE SANDWICH

This basic and super easy turkey and cheese sandwich recipe is a household staple, and never fails to satisfy our hunger on a lazy day!

INGREDIENTS

  • Two slices of any type of bread

  • 2 slices of smoked turkey

  • 2 slices of mozzarella cheese

  • 1 lettuce leaf

  • Mayonnaise

  • Mustard

  • 1/4 teaspoon of lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper

PREPARATION

1. Take the bread and spread each half with mayonnaise.

2. Top with both slices of turkey and both slices of cheese.

3. Brush a little mustard on top of the cheese and top with the second half of the bread.

4. If you’re going to toast it, then do it now, until the cheese melts, before adding the vegetables.

5. Once it’s toasted to your liking, open it up again (don’t worry about it getting messy), add the lettuce (and any other vegetables you prefer).

6. Pour the lemon juice over the lettuce and season with salt and pepper before closing up the sandwich.

7. Best served with a side of crisps and a cold drink!

Notes:
With sandwiches, it's always about preferences. Extra cheese, no cheese, veggies, no veggies, add tomatoes, pickles, olives, no mayonnaise, different dressing and so on. Don't hesitate to deviate from the recipe and go with what you prefer!

You can use any type of bread available to you to make sandwiches.
